Currently I am having ‘not-so-sharp’ Sigma APO 70-300mm F4-5.6 DG MACRO (Canon EF mount) and hence planning to buy a similar one with my budget 800-1000 U$D (maximum). In your articles you have always advocated the use of depth of field preview for checking the range of DOF, but as you know the view finder darkens considerably in this mode making dif-fi cult to form a judgment.
I own a small bunch of gears including a 150-500mm Sigma telephoto lens. I now feel the need to upgrade my camera body and am al-most set to get the Nikon D300. All my lenses are AF-S type.
