Olympus E-30-Alive And Screaming!!!The Olympus E-30 features a 4/3-inch Type Live MOS sensor with 12.3 effective megapixels (total pixels 13.1 million), which, Olympus claim, has high speed shooting capabilities.
If image stabilization was the buzzword of the D-SLR market in 2007, then last year was the one of Live View and swiveling LCD, not to forget the lone ‘reflex-less’ interchangeable-lens camera from Panasonic, commonly referred to as a D-SLR. Olympus too has not been a stranger to innovations. Starting with lightness of the OM-1, off-the-film metering of the OM-2 and weather-proofing of the Mju series, the innovations continued in the digital age too with the E-330, being the world’s first D-SLR with live view and vary-angle LCD screen. With the launch of the 12.3-megapixel E-30, Olympus is attempting to bridge the gap between its professional D-SLR E-3 and the entry-level E-520. Predictably, the E-30 features many technologies that have trickled down from its elder sibling E-3.
