Sony Bags Camera of the Year

March 6, 2019 by Andrea Rodrigues

Smart Photography held its 14th edition of Innovation Technology and Imaging Awards on 28 February 2019 at Delhi. The event celebrated the best photography products reviewed by our team during 2018-19.

Sony’s Alpha 7 III was named the Full Frame Interchangeable Lens Camera of the Year and our Most Prestigious Camera of the Year. With the Alpha 7 III, Sony has hit the jackpot. The camera fulfils everything that a photographer would want and is, therefore, the best all-rounder. Add to that the attractive price and you know Sony has got a winner!

The Compact Camera of the Year award was also bagged by Sony for its Sony Cyber-shot RX10 IV. Bridge cameras are still holding out in the world market and Sony builds the king in this market. A 20 MP sensor, 315-point AF system and a 24-600 mm equivalent zoom lens and full manual control are on offer.
