Colour critical applications require monitors that can reproduce accurate colours as per accepted international standards. The Asus PA329Q is a 32-inch, 4K UHD (3840 x 2160) IPS display. It boasts 100 percent Rec.709 and 99.5 percent Adobe RGB gamut reproduction with the help of 3M Quantum Dot Enhancement Film (QDEF). The panel provides a pixel density of 138 pixels per inch. The monitor comes pre-calibrate for outstanding colour accuracy (∆E <2). Asus ProArt calibration technology uses a 14-bit look-up-table (LUT) for accurate colour rendition. An onboard DRAM chip allows the system to save all calibration parameters along with the profile on the monitor so that it is not affected by other hardware and software changes. The monitor features 10-bit colour reproduction , allowing it to display over 1.07 billion colours. The monitor features 95% uniformity compensation to eliminate brightness and colour fluctuations across the screen.
To suit a wide variety of applications, ProArt calibration lets you set up up to five different colour spaces and provides several additional options besides the ‘Standard’ option (sRGB). The ASUS ProArt calibration technology saves all colour parameter profiles on the PA329Q’s internal scaler IC chip instead of the PC. This lets you connect PA329Q to different devices without needing to continuously change existing settings. This also helps to reduce signal distortion between the IC and the LCD optical spectrum. Colour profiles can be easily activated by using the hotkey on the monitor without a PC or calibrators. The technology is also compatible with top hardware calibrators such as X-rite i1 Display Pro and Datacolor Spyder 5 series. Smooth 4K UHD Content can be played back at up to 60Hz without any distortion. Connectivity options include DisplayPort 1.2, mini DisplayPort 1.2 and four HDMI (v2.0) ports in addition to five USB 3.0 ports and a 9-in-1 card reader.
The monitor features advanced Picture-in-Picture (PiP) and Picture-by-Picture (PbP) functionality which let you view content from multiple 4K UHD sources simultaneously, along with the ability to switch between them, along with audio. It also allows you to configure each individual window’s colour settings with Adobe RGB, sRGB, User Pre-set 1, and User Pre-set 2 modes to see the differences between them. Asus QuickFit Virtual Scale provides you with an on-screen grid overlay so you can align and preview documents in their actual sizes prior to printing. An intuitive 5-way navigation joystick lets you easily access and switch OSD settings on the on-screen menu. The monitor features Asus Eye Care technology, which allows you to set blue light filter levels from 0 to 4, protecting your eyes from harmful blue light. The monitor has been certified by TÜV Rheinland laboratories, a global provider of technical, safety, and certification services, to be flicker-free and to emit low blue light levels.
The PA329Q features Auto Rotation function, which adjusts the orientation of content when you pivot the display to portrait mode, making it perfect for designing mobile applications. The monitor measures 735 x 615 x 240 mm with stand and weighs 12.5kg. It is available at an MRP of ₹154,000.
