April 14, 2025 by Gandhi Mathi

Canon India, has introduced ‘Deep Dive,’ an industry-first masterclass designed to equip aspiring filmmakers, photographers and videographers with comprehensive expertise in the art and science of visual storytelling.

Organised in collaboration with IFP, a creator-first global community, the masterclass will also explore the intricacies of complex workflows and post-production with industry veterans, filmmakers and Canon India’s North Star Alliance partners—Aperture, Eizo, and Sennheiser. Participants will gain firsthand experience with cutting-edge technology from Canon and the complete planning, production post-production workflow, guided by Canon Ambassadors that includes some of the renowned photographers and filmmakers, like Siddharth Sharma, Ravi K Chandran, Santosh Sivan, Anand Rathi, Sudeep Chatterjee, and G Venket. The masterclass is designed as an experiential journey, allowing participants to not only learn but also immerse themselves in Canon’s advanced imaging technology. It will ensure that they gain practical, hands-on experience from industry veterans, and are equipped with right knowledge of complete post-production workflows.

Commenting on the initiative and collaboration, Mr. Toshiaki Nomura President and CEO, Canon India said, “At Canon, we deeply value creators and believe in their limitless creative potential. We recognize that to truly excel, creators need more than just inspiration—they need the right knowledge, cutting-edge technology, and hands-on experience to push their boundaries. They must evolve beyond being mere visual storytellers to mastering the entire workflow, from capturing the perfect shot to delivering a polished final product. With Deep Dive, Canon is proud to create an experiential platform where young, talented filmmakers and photographers can gain real-world expertise, engage with industry leaders, and experience the transformative power of Canon’s advanced imaging technology. Through initiatives like these, Canon is proud to be facilitating the growth of the entire ecosystem, empowering the next generation of creative visionaries.”

As a multi-city experiential program, this initiative will feature renowned experts from the wedding, cinema, and fashion filmmaking industries will lead live demonstrations on colour grading, LUTs, and post-production techniques, leveraging Canon’s superior imaging solutions. The inaugural session in Gurgaon, led by Canon Ambassador Siddharth Sharma, has already set the tone for the series, garnering an overwhelmingly positive response from participants. The enthusiastic engagement and early interest from users underscore the growing industry demand for such initiatives.

With a legacy of pioneering imaging solutions, Canon India continues to foster innovation and excellence within the creator ecosystem. Initiatives like ‘Deep Dive’ reaffirm Canon’s role as a key enabler of creative expression, bringing customer-focused experiential activations to life.
