Nikon India announced the launch of the D5300 D-SLR camera, a compact and lightweight entry-level model, with builtin Wi-Fi and GPS functions. It offers an effective pixel count of 24.2 million and a DX-format CMOS sensor with no optical low-pass filter, EXPEED 4, for higher image quality and definition. The camera has a 3.2 Inch type, 1037 K-dot vari-angle LCD monitor with wide viewing angle for simple shooting and a movie function for recording full-HD 1920 × 1080, 60p movies. The Nikon D5300 with 18-140mm lens will be priced at Rs. 75,950 and with 18-55mm lens at Rs. 59,950. The body alone would cost Rs. 54,450.
