No single camera system can do everything that a photographer envisages. For example, if electronic fl ash is required to light up a portrait or a product, the built-in fl ash cannot do the job as effi ciently as a studio flash.
If you wish to meter an extremely small area of a subject, the built-in spot-meter cannot do what a specialized 1-degree spot-meter can do.If you need to photograph a tiny object, your standard lens may not be able to record a large enough image; for that you might require a specialized lens or close-up fi lters.
