There is no better way to learn photography than to study some of the excellent pictures taken by famous photographers. One way of doing this was to visit photo galleries in the city and imbibe a lot from what was on show. Unfortunately, in recent times, photo galleries tend to put more emphasis on the name of the photographer rather than the quality of his pictures. Yes, pictures taken by a celebrity very often get priority over those taken by A N Other, and we are not talking about picture quality here. Photo galleries need to place greater emphasis on merit rather than on the name of the photographer. For instance, would you buy a picture taken by David Beckham’s son even if it were shot on a Leica?
