India will be celebrating 68 years of Independence on August 15, 2014. To commemorate this occasion, the New Delhi Municipal Council in collaboration with the India Photo Archive Foundation (IPAF), has planned an exhibition of various pictures from India’s freedom movement. The photographs of Kulwant Roy will be displayed in the exhibition at Connaught Place, New Delhi, from August 15, and will go on for a month. There are images of every day life as well as iconic moments from India’s history, roughly between 1930 to 1960. Some of Roy’s important photographs include the meeting between Mahatma Gandhi and Khan Abdul Gaffar Khan, the Simla Cabinet Mission, and so on.
