Fujifilm is offering a new model of instant camera, the instax WIDE 300, based on the instax WIDE 210 released in 1999, targeting the businessuse market. The camera uses instant film paper 2x wider than the standard instax mini, measuring 86x108mm. Its major use is for recording accident scenes by insurance and police sectors.
When the standard Checki camera was in the limelight, consumers requested a larger picture and the company obliged. The improved camera is priced at 13,910 Yen. It has been released in China and East Asia in December 2014 and Europe in January 2015. The instax WIDE 300 will be sold in North America from March, aiming at 200,000 unit sales in the initial year.
