Q1: To start off, how is BenQ positioning itself strategically in the APAC region? What are the key focus areas right now?
Jeffrey: APAC is a highly diverse and dynamic region, and we’re seeing strong growth in segments like display solutions, projectors, monitors, and smart education. Our focus is on three main pillars: innovation, localization, and building a robust channel ecosystem.
We’re investing in technologies that support hybrid lifestyles—working from home, hybrid classrooms, and flexible office setups. User experience is central to everything we do. We’re designing intuitive, comfortable solutions that make life easier and more productive.
Q2: And how does that regional strategy get adapted to local markets—say, for example, India?
Jeffrey: That’s a big part of our success. India is a very unique and important market for us, and we rely heavily on localization—whether that’s in pricing, product positioning, or marketing. That’s where Rajeev and his team bring incredible value, making sure our approach fits the Indian market context.
Q3: Let’s talk about innovation. BenQ has long been strong in visual display tech. How are you evolving to stay competitive and ahead of the curve?
Jeffrey: Innovation is central to our identity. We’re building smarter, AI-enhanced products—like monitors with eye-care technology, adaptive brightness, and ambient light sensors. We’re also creating vertical-specific solutions: for education, we’ve added tools that support hybrid learning; for gaming, we focus on high refresh rates and low latency.
The key is to anticipate what users will need, not just respond to current demands.

Q4: How do you drive that culture of innovation within your regional teams?
Jeffrey: It starts with having a clear, inspiring vision. But beyond that, we invest in local R&D and empower regional leaders. Our teams are encouraged to experiment, gather market insights, and feed those into our global product development cycle. That feedback loop—local insight influencing global innovation—is a real strength for us.
Q5: Welcome, Rajeev. I’d like to focus now on India. What role does India play in BenQ’s overall APAC strategy, and how are you customizing your approach locally?
Rajeev: India is one of the most critical markets in APAC—not just in terms of growth potential but also as a proving ground for innovation. We operate across education, corporate, and retail, and we’ve heavily localized our offerings.
For instance, in education, we’ve introduced interactive displays with dual-pen support and regional language voice assist. These features are designed specifically for the Indian classroom. We’ve also invested in robust after-sales service and infrastructure, which is critical here.
Jeffrey: And I’ll just add—what Rajeev and his team are doing in India is influencing how we approach other emerging markets. India is often ahead of the curve in innovation, and we draw valuable lessons from what works here.
Q6: That’s impressive. Rajeev, specifically on the education front—how has adoption been in Indian schools, and what’s the feedback so far?
Rajeev: Adoption has been strong, especially after the pandemic. There’s a real commitment now to digital infrastructure. Schools are looking for technology that is both engaging and durable. The dual-pen feature allows teachers and students to collaborate in real-time, and the voice assist feature is very useful in multilingual environments.
We’re also getting positive feedback on reliability. Institutions want tech that lasts, and we’ve built strong backend service networks to support that.
Q7: Is BenQ looking to take some of these India-specific innovations to other markets?
Jeffrey: Absolutely. The solutions that are succeeding in India—particularly in education and value-driven segments—are being used as blueprints for Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and even Latin America. India is a vital innovation hub for us.
Rajeev: It’s a two-way relationship. We benefit from global expertise, but we also shape the roadmap with our local learnings.
Q8: Let’s shift gears slightly. How is BenQ approaching sustainability, both globally and in India?
Jeffrey: Sustainability is now built into our strategy—it’s not just a side initiative. We’re using recycled materials in our monitors, eco-friendly packaging, and introducing features like auto power-off and low blue light to reduce energy consumption. We’re also thinking long-term about recyclability and product lifecycle management.
Rajeev: In India, we’re aligning with local e-waste regulations and even going beyond them. We’ve partnered with local e-waste handlers and also launched awareness campaigns around energy efficiency in schools and corporates. Sustainability is a shared responsibility for us.
Q9: Final question—what excites you the most about the next 12 to 18 months?
Jeffrey: I’m excited about the convergence we’re seeing—work, learning, and entertainment coming together in a seamless digital lifestyle. We’re developing new products that reflect this shift: creator-focused monitors, hybrid-use projectors, and better collaborative tools.
Rajeev: In India, I’m particularly excited about the continued digital transformation in education and enterprise. There’s a whole new generation of users who are tech-native and have high expectations. Meeting those expectations is a challenge, but also a huge opportunity.
