JVC Kenwood announced that it will launch the GYHM200, a new compact and lightweight 4K camcorder to record images on flash memory cards, for professionals. The GY-HM200 will be available from late February 2015.
The camcorder features a 12.4 MP 1/2.3-inch Type backilluminated CMOS sensor, and the newly developed 12x (29.5-354mm f/1.2 in 35mm format) optical zoom lens. The camcorder captures and replays in 4K (3840×2160) resolution, 24/25/30p on SD cards. As the camcorder features double slots, recordings can be created on relay, dual as well as backup. The USB-HOST terminal accepts various kinds of adapters for connection and remote operation via Wi-Fi. JVC also announced a ‘palmsized’ professional camcorder with 4K resolution. According to the company, the GY-LS300 compact camcorder features a Micro Four-Thirds lens mount to accommodate the largest possible variety of lenses and adapters without compromising on image quality. It has a Super 35 sensor as well as a 3.5-inch display with smart focus assist.
