January 9, 2015 by SPEdit Team

J(07_2015_Microsoft)1On November 26, 2014, Microsoft Devices launched the affordable model Microsoft Lumia 535 featuring the latest Windows 8.1 operating system with Lumia Denim. It has a 1905 mAh battery and a 1.2 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 200 processor. This phone offers a wide-angle 5 MP front-facing camera, a 5-inch display with sunlight readability and Gorilla Glass 3 protection, and is available at a best buy price of Rs.9,199. It will be available in the colours of bright green, bright orange, white and black.

Aimed at young Smartphone users, the company says this phone offers five great Nokia experiences—Skype video calls and seamless switching between voice and video with built-in Skype integration; free and pre-installed Office Suite; an Xbox app with Live avatar and gamer profile available on the go; 15 GB of free OneDrive cloud storage and built-in Microsoft Outlook. The phone also offers a 5MP wide-angle camera that takes better selfies and has the Smart Dual SIM feature for maximum flexibility.

Bhaskar Pramanik, Chairman of Microsoft India said, “Today we have consumers in India for whom the mobile phone is not only their primary device, but sometimes the only device they use. Microsoft is committed to delivering the power of everyday mobile technology to everyone through its devices and services such as OneDrive, Outlook, Skype, Bing, Outlook, MSN and Xbox Live which power them. The new Microsoft Lumia 535 sets the benchmark in bringing the best of the Windows Phone ecosystem at an accessible price point to consumers in India.”

Speaking at the launch, Raghuvesh Sarup, Director – Marketing, Nokia India Sales Pvt. Ltd. (a subsidiary of Microsoft Mobile Oy) said, “Innovation should be available to everyone and our endeavour is to make it accessible through our range of affordable Lumia devices. Younger tech-involved audiences are increasingly looking at an uncompromised experience on their Smartphones. With access to the best services right out of the box at a price they can afford, we believe that the Lumia 535 is an ideal solution to offer young India.”
