Nikon expects 10 billion Yen in net income

Nikon Corp. expects the net profit for the first six months of fiscal 2014 to come up to 10 billion Yen, 6 billion more than the previous outlook, thanks to faster restructuring in the Precision Equipment segment. Performance in the digital camera section was better due to the shift in higherpriced products. Sales of mediumlevel products in the D-SLR camera section were better than expected.
