Panasonic announced a new interchangeable lens system camera, or mirrorless camera – LUMIX GX1. Mounting a Micro Four Thirds 16MP LiveMOS image sensor, to be available in the home market from Nov. 25, expectedly selling for around 70K yen (US$930) body only and 95K yen (US$1,250) kit including a 14-42mm (28-84mm equivalent) zoom lens.
The GX1 will be a premium model in the flat-type CF series, providing higher sensitivity at ISO12800 that takes lifelike images in low-lit situations. It takes movie in AVCHD format at 1,920 x 1,080/60i. For those who prefer viewfinder to LCD monitor, an improved 1.44MP electronic viewfinder ‘DMW-LVF2’ is optionally offered, expectedly selling for about 27K yen.
