Panono, a German start-up company has announced the spherical Panono camera that can take panorama images. The company says that the ball-shaped gadget has 36 small cameras which can look into every direction. The cameras are trigerred simultaneously and each photograph is stitched together to create a single 360 degree panoramic image. The Panono camera can be connected via USB or Wi-Fi. The in-built memory can store up to 400 images. The photographer can throw the camera in the air, or use it by holding it in one’s hand. It can also be used with a tripod or a selfie stick. The trigger can be clicked remotely using the Panono app.
The Panono camera weighs about 440g and is 11cm in diameter. All the 36 cameras have a resolution of 108 MP. The camera is to be shipped worldwide by spring 2015 and will cost about US $549.
