PhotoFair 2013 Day 1 Q&A – Photoquip to launch state-of-the-art Products

January 3, 2013 by spwordpress

Dhaval Soni,
Photoquip India

How has been 2012 for Photoquip, in terms of overall sales in India?

For more than 4 decades, photographers in India have been using the electronic studio flash lights based on very little technological advances. After a lot of dedicated research and development in the field of lighting and advanced electronics, since the past two years we have introduced the truly digital electronic studio flash light system with integrated wireless triggering. Although it has taken the photographic fraternity some hesitation to adapt to this new technology, we have seen a constant rise in the number of photographers switching over to the digital technology. With the
increasing acceptance of the digital technology we have had a steady growth in sales as per our forecasts for 2012.

What is Photoquip’s market share in India?
We at Photoquip have been committed to provide an international quality product with the most modern technology at an Indian price. We believe this has been an optimum combination for the majority of the photographic fraternity and we believe that this trend is going to only gather more momentum in the future.

What are the advantages of your new studio ash D-Lite RX 2 and D-Lite RX 4 over your earlier models?

The new RX version boasts a state-of-the-art wireless controlling module which can communicate with multiple devices such as computers and Smartphones over the Wi-Fi network. This is a step
ahead in the realm of wireless controlling of electronic studio lights. This new feature combined with some upgrades in the electronics and flashtubes make the RX units the latest in technology that Photoquip has to offer.

What are your marketing strategies for 2013?

We will continue to spread the awareness of the new technologies that we have to offer and empower the customer to make an educated decision in the right direction.

Your studio ashes are sold throughout India. How do you handle service problems?
We have a very simple service policy for servicing our lights wherein we provide an on-thespot replacement at our many authorised channel partners throughout the country. This reduces the waiting time for the photographer to a minimum and helps us serve our customers more efficiently.

What are the new innovations in mind for 2013?
The RX upgrade to our range of studio flash lights is the latest innovation that we bring to all in 2013, making them the smartest, most intelligent studio lights in the world.
