Ricoh Imaging Co. announced the PENTAX K-3, the flagship model in the K-Series. It offers 24 megapixel APS-C (23.5 x 15.6mm) CMOS sensor and the new PRIME III image processing engine, Shake Reduction mechanism and Low-pass selector which reduces moire at the level of low-pass filter. Other features include an ISO of 100 – 51200, continuous shooting of 8.6 fps, 27-point autofocusing, a 100% optical view finder, full HD video (1920 x 1080/ 60i or 30p) and interval shots in 4k resolution. The camera has a Wi-Fi function with an optional ‘Flucard for Pentax 16GB’, 3.2-inch Type LCD monitor, anti-splash and anti-dust body utilizing magnesium alloy, dual SD card slot etc. The camera will be available from November.
