Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. has unveiled the Galaxy A8—its newest addition to the Galaxy A family. Featuring a 5.7’’ Full HD Super AMOLED display, it is the slimmest galaxy smartphone at 5.9mm.
The Galaxy A8 has a premium design due to its full metal uni-body build and a cut metal frame. The bezel size has been reduced to 2.5mm, which lets users enjoy a nearly bezel-less visual experience.
The smartphone also comes with a wide variety of photography possibilities. It is equipped with a 16 MP camera and 5 MP front camera. Both have an f/1.9 lens allowing for brighter pictures even in low-light situations. The primary camera has a feature known as the ‘Face Detection Alarm’, which is great for clicking selfies with the rear camera. With GIF shooting modes and Auto selfie modes such as Palm and Voice selfie, users can capture different selfies in high resolution.
With the increasing popularity of the 4G revolution, the smartphone features a Category 6 LTE that gives quicker uplink/downlink speeds on 4G networks.
Powered by a ( 1.8/1.3) GHz Octa Core processor with 2GB RAM, users can multitask seamlessly. The smartphone has an in-built memory of 32GB, which is expandable to 128GB. Added to this is the 3050 mAh battery that does not drain quickly and offers enough power for a smooth experience. The security detail is in check due to a unique fingerprint scanner.
