Heavy demand of GH5 to cause a delayed shipment

Panasonic Japan recently announced that the customers waiting for the Lumix GH5 will have to wait furthermore. The company said that a high number of pre-orders might result into a delayed shipment in the Japanese markets. Panasonic Launches LUMIX GX85 Mirrorless ILC

Panasonic has introduced a new Mirrorless Interchangeable Lens Camera, the LUMIX DMC-GX85. The 16-megapixel camera does not feature an optical low pass filter, boosting the resolution and sharpness of images. Canon wants to bring production back to Japan

Canon Inc. is looking to increase the production from its home country, Japan, from 40%of their overall output to about 60%. The weak Yen seems to have spurred this move; and Canon isn't the only electronics company to take this action.
