Tamron Co. has stated that it will renew its SP series interchangeable lens line. The first two lenses that have been announced are the SP 35mm f/1.8 Di VC USO and SP 45mm f/1.8 Di VC USD for 35mm full-frame D-SLR cameras. Both the lenses feature their original vibration correction at 3 steps in the 35mm version and 3.5 stops for the 45mm version.
The closest shooting distance is 0.2m for the 35mm lens and 0.29m for the 45mm lens with a magnification ratio of 1:2.5 and 1:3.4 respectively. Mounts for Canon, Nikon and Sony have been prepared. The former two are available for sale at a suggested retail price of 90,000 yen each. The availability date and price for the Sony mount is yet to be declared.
