Tamron Co. said their sales for the first 9 months of fiscal 2014, ending on September 30 rose by 5.1% year-on-year to 51.12 billion Yen and profit in operation rose from 12.4% to 4.348 billion Yen. The net profit rose by 9.1% to 2.74 billion Yen.
In the midst of the shrinking interchangeable lens market as a whole, the company posted a 7% gain in this segment to 36.675 billion Yen, thanks to the performance of the 150-600mm (Model A011) and 16-300mm (Model B016) lenses. The operating profit rose by 26.9% to 4.073 billion Yen.
