Adobe’s ‘My Best Photo Ever’ Contest receives an overwhelming response

February 8, 2012 by spwordpress

The popularity of ‘My Best Photo Ever Contest’ organised by Adobe India resulted in over 2000 entries from across India.

Given the success of the contest, Adobe’s Digital team decided to select ‘Top 50 pictures’, for the finals, to be judged by the jury, instead of the ‘Top 25 entries’ mentioned earlier. However, the core emphasis of the contest was to unravel and honour the photographic talent. The contest was promoted on Adobe India’s official facebook page, supported by Canon and Wacom.

A eminent three member panel of judges comprising Rohinton Mehta ‘Uncle Ronnie’ (Technical Editor, Smart Photography), Sundeep Gajjar (Editor, xBHP Magazine), and Shanmugh Natarajan ‘Nataraj’ (Sr. Director-Engineering, Adobe India) adjudged the photographs online. The three top winners were: Tejas Kudtarkar, who pocketed the first prize of a Canon EOS 550D camera, along with Adobe Lightroom 3, for his entry ‘No day is so bad that it can’t be fixed with a nap’. The second prize of a Wacom Fun Pen and Touch and Adobe Lightroom 3 went to Kaustubh Basankar for his entry ‘United we stand, divided we fall’, while Diksha Grover collected the third prize (Adobe Lightroom 3) for her image, ‘The Lady in Red’.
