Chitkara University conferred Honoris Causa, (the honorary doctorate) degree in the area of leadership and marketing to Alok Bharadwaj, as a recognition of his contribution to Indian industry over the last 26 years.
At a function held in Delhi recently, Dr. Ashok Chitkara, Chancellor, Chitkara University, presented the award for his role in the technology space. The three other recipients included one from the government-Secretary of the Ministry of Heavy Industries, Bhaskar Chatterjee, while the other two were from the Public Sector Unit, and also from the Construction industry respectively. The final walk through the aisle is scheduled to be held sometime in January 2012.
