Canon has announced the release of two models of full-HD capable camcorders targeting professional users, in mid-June.
The new models, the XA25 and XA20, feature newly-developed 1/2.84-inch Type 2.91-MP CMOS image sensor, DIGIC 4 signal processing engine, optical 20x zoom lens, 3.5-inch OELD panel with touch-screen function and built-in Wi-Fi. The top-of-line XA25 features a handle and an SDI terminal. Weighing 1160g, the expected street price is 270K yen. The standard model XA20, without the handle and the SDI terminal, will sell for about 180K yen.
