Due to the challenging theme of ‘Sports and Games‘ this year, we have observed a shortage of high-quality entries. Consequently, we have opted to extend the deadline for the Indian section of the contest to May 31, 2024. This extension will allow us to align with the June edition of the magazine, scheduled for publication in the first week of the month. In an effort to enhance the quality and quantity of submissions, we will actively engage photography schools, press photographers, and social media platforms. Moreover, stringent measures regarding proof of the image capture date will be upheld.
Scope and Contest Rules:
Entrants are required to submit 5-8 photographs capturing the theme of ‘Sports and Games‘, encompassing both professional and amateur sports as well as games. All submissions must be in digital format, captured between May 1st, 2023, and April 30th, 2024 (EXIF data will be scrutinized for verification). Older portfolios and AI-generated images are ineligible.
Other Terms and Conditions:
- Each entry must consist of 5-8 images.
- The theme of the year is ‘Sports and Games’.
- Deadline: May 31, 2024.
- Submissions must be in digital format (from a digital camera or scanned film originals).
- JPEG files with a maximum of 800 pixels on the longest edge are required. Finalists will need to resubmit images at a higher resolution (3000 pixels).
- Only one entry per person is allowed.
- Entries must include the participant’s name, postal address, email, and phone number.
- Entrants are responsible for submitting their original work, and copyright infringements will not be the responsibility of the competition organizers or EISA member publications.
- Winning entries may be published worldwide in any format or medium for promotional purposes, at the discretion of the organizers.
- EISA and its Photography Expert Group will not engage in correspondence regarding the results.
- Editorial staff of Smart Photography will select the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, with national results to be published in the June issue. International judging will take place in June 2024.
- Winning entries from each of the 16 participating EISA countries will be judged collectively at the Association’s General Meeting in June 2024. Final results of the International Maestro contest will be announced at the EISA Awards Gala in September 2024, alongside the EISA product Awards on August 15th, 2024.
- Winning photographs will be featured in the Sept/Oct issues of all 16 EISA photo magazines/websites. Winners may be invited to the EISA Awards ceremony in September 2024, subject to circumstances permitting
