Giotto’s newest creation, the Silk Road YTL tripod, has been talked about lately because of a design modification. When broken down, the tripod becomes 30% smaller in the collapsed form.
The makers gave the tripod the now-patented Y-shape, where the tripod’s legs fold right into the bar, giving it a compact configuration.
The YTL tripods will begin shipping by the end of this month. The heavier aluminum model will be
priced at $160, and the lighter carbon fiber models will start at $350.
