The Pentax Division of HOYA, in association with Tower Records, announced a rainbow-colored “Tower Records X Pentax Rainbow K-r”, available in a limited quantity of 300 units.
This model mounts the SMC- Pentax-DA 35mm F.24 AL normal lens. The camera also features a rainbow Pentax logo, and front while the lens is in regular black.
This D-SLR will be available online at 89,800 yen (US$1,050) with the lens. Advance orders have been coming in since April 20, and delivery is slated to start from July 22.
Pentax has added five new color variants for the Pentax K-r : camouflage khaki-green, camouflage khaki-black, marble red and white, marble blue and white, and marble black. The Pentax K-r can be converted to one of the new designs for a conversion fee of 5,250 yen (US$60).
