September 2, 2011 by spwordpress

Nikon sponsored ‘Nat Geo Moment Awards III’ powered by Dell XPS, which is a pan India based photography competition provided the ideal platform for professionals as well amateurs to showcase their creativity.

Currently, the competition which is in its third year, received more than 65,000 entries online this year. The top 500 entries were shortlisted after being judged by renowned Nat Geo photographer, Steve Winters. The winning photographer will have an opportunity to go on an assignment with the renowned Steve Winter himself. In addition, the winner will also receive Nikon D300S with AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm f/2.5-5.6 ED VR II lens.

Noted actor, Rahul Bose, who is an avid photography lover, along with the organizers, National Geographic Channel, attended the photo exhibition that was held at ‘Select City Walk’ at Saket, New Delhi recently. The exhibition comprised of 40 best photographs that included the ones that are likely to be voted the winner. Rahul Bose stated that photography has become so pervasive that such inspirational stuff coming from reputed legends like Raghu Rai, has significantly made a major creative difference. With the advent of technology, especially the availability of user friendly cameras and camera phones, it has further accentuated and fired everyone’s imagination and the pictures this year bear a testimony to the same
