Iconic pictorial and portrait photographer, K G Maheshwari passed away on December 4, 2014, at the age of 92. For his vast contribution to the field of photography, the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting of India had conferred a Lifetime Achievement Award on him. He has several other awards to his name and has written papers and articles on the subject of photography. Mr. Maheshwari also dedicated his time in conducting workshops and teaching photography, and was a member of the Honors Committees of the India International Photographic Council as well as the Photographic Society of India.
