Post the colour reversal film announcement, Kodak films revealed a price increase by 15 percent on all films. Kodak has confirmed that it has increased the prices of all of its consumer and professional films, just weeks after the company was put under the protection of US courts as it seeks to avoid bankruptcy.
The company spokeswoman for the Rochester-based company explained, “Kodak has raised the prices on all films by 15 percent.” The increase, while immediate for retailers, is expected to take effect in stores in the coming weeks
The move comes just after the company disclosed the discontinuing of its colour reversal films. The discontinued films are the Kodak Professional Ektachrome E100G, Kodak Professional Ektachrome E100VS Film and Kodak Professional Elite Chrome Extra Colour 100. The price rise has been implemented in order to let the company sustain as a viable business
