The All India Photographic Exhibition conducted by Lucknow Camera Club and the U.P Forest Academy was inaugurated on 21st March ( World Forest Day) at State Lalit Kala Akademi,
Lala Baradari by Hon. Minster of Forest Shri Fatay Bahadur Singh.
67 photographers from various parts of India participated in this exhibition, thus receiving 370 entries. There were five awards in each sections with cash prizes of Rs.5000, Rs.3000 and Rs.2000 for first, second and third place respectively. The topics for the exhibition were Wildlife, People and Forests, and Wilderness in U.P. The jury comprised of D.N.S.Suman – Principal Chief Conservator of Forest, UP and Anil Risal Singh – President, Lucknow Camera Club.
The winners in the Wildlife category were H. V. Preveen Kumar, Bangalore, Sitharth Malik, Bangalore, and Tapas Kumar Nanda, Kolkata. For People and Forests, Dr. Bhaskar Das – Kolkata, Kalyan Kumar Ray, Assam, and Dr. S.Harinarayan, Bangalore. In the Wilderness category the awardees were Harish Chandra , Lucknow, Suresh Chowdhgury, Lucknow, Mukesh Kumar, Lucknow.
