Marumi Optical Co. launched the EXUS brand of filters in late April. The EXUS Lens Protect is a colourless transparent filter to protect lenses from dust, water drops and fingerprints, thanks to an anti-static electric coating.
The EXUS Circular P.L filter is suitable for landscape photography, enhancing contrast while subduing reflection from subjects. Utilizing a high permeable polarizing coating, images can be clearly seen in the viewfinder. A wide range of thread sizes are available, from 37 to 82mm. Prices are from 6,640 to 13,300 yen (US$70- $140) for the Exus Lens Protect and from 14,640 to 29,970 yen (US$155-$315) for the Exus Circular P.L filter.
