Maspro to sell 360-degree Panorama Camera under Kodak Brand

Maspro Denkoh Corp., Japan’s leading antenna supplier, has come to an agreement with JK Imaging Ltd. of the US to be the sole distributor of Kodak brand cameras in Japan, and will launch the Kodak PIXPRO SP360 action camera, starting November 21. It will be offered for 41,500 Yen (approx. US $380)

The PIXPRO SP360 action camera can take HD quality movies at 360 degrees (horizontal) and 214 degrees (vertical). The SP360 can be operated remotely by installing dedicated software provided with the product from a Smartphone or PC via Wi-Fi or USB cable for viewing the images displayed on the screen of these gadgets. The SP360 features a BSI CMOS sensor with 16.38 MP resolution. The company has readied a variety of accessories for the camera including water-proof housings, mounts with an extension arm, clip, head-mount band, mounts for surf-boards, bicycles, etc.

The company also announced the Kodak PIXPRO S-1, a Micro Four-Thirds interchangeable lens camera supplied by JK Imaging. The S-1 features a 16.38 MP Micro Four-Thirds size sensor, a 3-inch tiltable LCD monitor, Wi-Fi, Full HD movie capability and continuous shooting at 4 fps. A kit with the S-1 and Kodak PIXPRO SZ ED 12-45mm f/3.5-6.3 AF lens will be sold for about 60,000 Yen (approx. US $550)
