Good photography captures faithfully the interplay of light reacting with the subject. New challenges arise when the camera is taken underwater and good exciting pictures are to be produced. Underwater photography poses new creative challenges in the form of poor and different lighting, level of water clarity, currents, surf etc, all of which are in a state of constant change. Danger to physical safety in untested waters is also a major factor. The only control that the photographer has, is over his camera settings.
In this issue of SP, we have covered the area of under-water photography. Shooting in RAW and with a bit of colour correction, the results can be truly stunning.
