As things change rapidly in the imaging world, we cannot help but look at the associated world of high fidelity music. In the1980’s, the compact disc replaced the vinyl album or so we thought. Those who threw away their turntables and their records must be rueing their decisions. Vinyl albums have made a huge comeback and there are more turntables available in the market than CD players.
In the imaging world, there are some small sparks of revival in the film market especially in conservative markets like the UK. Kodak has announced that they are going to reintroduce some of their older films. Is a revolution similar to that in the musical world about to happen? We seriously doubt it, but never say never.
