Panasonic recently launched the LUMIX DMC-FZ48 that features improved mechanical image stabilization system that effectively detects handshake of low frequencies.
It will be available shortly, and is expected to sell at 40K yen (US$500).
The D-cam is equipped with a 1/2.3-inch 12.1MP CCD image sensor, Leica DC Vario-Elmarit 4.5-108mm (25-600mm equivalent) F2.8-5.2 zoom lens, 0.2-inch 202K dot electronic viewfinder.
