Nikon has announced the AF-S Nikkor 28mm f/1.8 G, a fast wide angle lens for full frame SLRs such as the D800.
It uses two aspherical elements in its 11 element / 9 group construction, along with Nano Crystal Coat. It can also be used on DX format cameras, giving a 42mm-equivalent ‘normal’ angle of view. It will be available from the end of May 2012 at a suggested retail price of $699.95.
