Nikon scored the highest points in a consumer survey regarding the most desired model among mirrorless compact system cameras for future purchase.
The survey was conducted by Nikkei Shimbun in cooperation with the Research of NTT Resonant.
Out of the surveyed 1,083, 31.8 percent answered yes to “Do you want to buy a mirror-less camera in future?” Nikon grabbed the highest points at 32.7 percent, followed by Olympus 30.6 percent, Sony 15.2 percent, Panasonic 9.7 percent, Fujifilm 4.5 percent and HOYA Pentax 3.6 percent. Nikon debuted the Nikon 1 recently, and Fujifilm has announced their entry into the market as of next March.
