Nikon Presents ‘Nat Geo Moment Awards Season III’

May 25, 2011 by spwordpress

Supporting the endeavor of individuals with the talent to photography, Nikon has associated itself with the ‘Nat Geo Moment Awards Season III’, in collaboration with Dell XPS.

These awards are popular for providing a platform to anyone who has the talent to capture the right frame, at the right time. This national level competition, through its previous seasons has received overwhelming response, with over 1 lakh entries coming in from both professionals, as well as amateur photographers.
This year the competition gets bigger as the winner of the Best Photograph gets to go on an assignment with renowned Nat Geo photographer- Steve Winter.
He is also a part of this season’s jury

The winner will also bag the Nikon D300S, with a AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-200mm ED VR II lens.

Season III will be open to the general public for voting. The public are invited to select their favorite entry from the pictures uploaded, and the one with the highest votes will win a Nikon COOLPIX S1100pj every week.
The contest was open to the public from May 12, 2011 through a special Moment Awards application on Facebook (www.facebook.com/natgeotv.india) under five categories: Green, Culture, People, Landscape and Wild.

The contest is being promoted extensively through a robust 360 degree campaign on-air, online, radio and outdoor. A special series titled ‘Most Amazing Photos’ will be aired on the Nat Geo Channel, along with the contest. The series will depict the stories of the most iconic photos taken during our times, through conversations with the photographers.
