Olympus Introduces new compact camera models

The TG-310, Olympus’ new water/shock-proof camera can work 3m underwater and stand the shock when dropped from a height of 1.5m.

The compact features a 1/2.3-inch 13MP (effective) CCD image sensor, 5-18.2mm (28-102mm equivalent) F3.5-5.1 zoom lens that adopts 4 aspherical elements in its 10-in-8 construction and 2.7-inch 230K-dot LCD monitor.

The VG-140, a basic entry level model, available since January provides a rich assortment of picture taking programs including iAuto automatic scene recognition, and various scene selections in addition to regular auto program. The camera is fitted with a 1/2.3-inch CCD image sensor, 4.7-23.5mm (26-130mm equivalent) F2.8-6.5 5X zoom lens and 3-inch 230K-dot LCD monitor.

The VG-110, featuring a 12 megapixel image sensor, with a 26mm 4x wide-angle zoom provides the ultimate combination of value and functionality.

All Olympus digital compact cameras currently offer the new Olympus [ib] photo organizing and editing software.
