Olympus introduced the PEN Trinity series comprising the Olympus PEN E-P3, Olympus PEN Lite E-PL3, and Olympus PEN Mini E-PM1 in Mumbai recently.
The company also released two new lenses for the Micro Four Thirds System—M. Zuiko Digital 45mm f/1.8 and M. Zuiko Digital ED 12mm f/2.0 and a wireless flash unit FL-300R. This is the first time Olympus has launched products in Indian market simultaneously coinciding with the international launch.
The new line-up was unveiled by Bollywood actor Rahul Bose in the presence of Toshio Murai, Managing Director, Olympus Imaging India Pvt. Ltd. and Akira Fukui, Group Leader (Senior Manager – Asia Sales Group, Global Sales and Marketing Div.). Olympus also honoured two of India’s renowned photojournalists: Padma Vibhushan Homai Vyarawalla, who is India’s first woman photojournalist, and Padmashree Raghu Rai.
The PEN EP-3 kit will be available at Olympus exclusive stores in Mumbai and Delhi along with all major retail chains across the country. The standard kit (with M. Zuiko Digital 14-42mm lens) is priced at Rs. 39,999, while the dual lens kit (with M. Zuiko Digital 14-42mm + M. Zuiko Digital 40-150mm lens) is available at Rs.44,999. The E-PL3 and the E-PM1 will be available in the market by mid-September.
