Panasonic unveils a slew of Lumix digital cameras

March 5, 2012 by spwordpress

Pansonic introduces six new Lumix digital cameras, including the new additions to the TZ and FT series cameras.

The new Lumix TZ30 delivers high precision image quality thanks to the renowned LEICA DC lens with an extended 20x Optical Zoom starting at 24mm Ultra Wide Angle and a new 14.1-megapixel high sensitivity MOS Sensor. With a 24mm ultra wide-angle of view, the Lumix TZ25 covers a wide range of shooting situations and features POWER O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabiliser) with Active Mode. The bold and rugged Lumix FT4 does not compromise on picture quality due to the LEICA DC VARIO-ELMAR lens, 12.1-megapixel Hi-Speed CCD sensor and the advanced image processing LSI Venus Engine. The DMC Lumix FT20 is waterproof to a depth of 5m and dustproof. The Lumix FX80 incorporates a high quality LEICA DC VARIO-SUMMARIT lens that boasts excellent brightness of F2.5. The DMC Lumix LS6 features a 26mm wide angle, 5x optical zoom high quality lens which excels in shooting vast landscapes or crowded subjects even at a short distance indoors.

Panasonic announces spring compact models
Panasonic presented 9 models of Lumix series compact cameras to be released. The mainstay will be DMC-SZ7, with a 14 megapixel MOS sensor and 10X optical zoom lens. The DMC-FH8, FH6 and S2 are entry models. Those will be sold for around 25,000 yen (US$312). Also announced is the 3D compatible DMC-3D1 model with two lenses and two images, which is already available outside Japan. The 3D compact will be selling for around 50,000 yen (US$625).
