Photofair Day 3 Q&A : Inter Foto : Enabling Cost Effective Soultions

January 6, 2012 by spwordpress

Rishabh Gupta,
Director, Inter Foto India
Pvt. Ltd.

As one of the country’s biggest photo distributors, what are the new products by IFI (Inter Foto India) at Photofair’12?

We have been actively scouting the world for new products for photographers, and some of the new products will be unveiled at Photofair’12. The products includes Benro Tripods, Ailite Dry Cabinets, Lenspen lens cleaning devices, Energizer Batteries, and Celestron telescopes.

With accessories becoming an integral part of every professional/ enthusiast’s inventory, and with so much of competition, what is your approach towards the  customer?
Our mantra has always been quality, quality and quality. IFI has over time created a reputation for distributing quality products at affordable price points. In short, IFI’s portfolio includes brand names that are synonymous with the best, like Lowepro bags, Hoya filters, Lenspen cleaning devices, Benro tripods, SanDisk memory, etc. All our products add a huge value to the buyers in terms of functionality, durability, value for money and protection for their investment.

Many of your products are potential market leaders. Does this change your role in a price sensitive market like India, when compared to others?

Buying low quality products would be self defeating, and what we market provides complete compatibility with the consumers equipment. We help consumers by providing protection to secure their investment. Our Lowepro bags protect and prolong the photographer’s equipment. Whereas, our Ailite Dry Cabinets, protect the equipment against the grimy Indian climate.
