Poco Announces M2 Smartphone

September 17, 2020 by Sweta baruah

Poco M2 (Pitch Black)

Poco has launched M2, which is reportedly, its most affordable smartphone with a 6GB RAM.

The smartphone comes with a MediaTek Helio G80 octa-core processor with two Cortex-A75 cores at 2.0GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 1.8GHz. With MediaTek’s gaming features, Poco aims to provide an optimised gaming experience.

With 6GB of RAM to go with the aforementioned components, the M2 comes with a 16.58 cm Full HD+ display, with a resolution of 2340 × 1080 and an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. Also, the Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection keeps the screen protected from accidental damage and scratches. With a near edge-to-edge display on the front, the M2 features a fingerprint sensor on the rear of the device to allow for quick unlocking. Protecting the entire body of the device is P2i’s nano-coating, making the smartphone resistant to accidental splashes.

The smartphone also features a quad camera setup consisting of a 13MP primary sensor, 8MP ultra-wide sensor, 5MP macro sensor and a 2MP depth sensor. The 8MP ultra-wide camera provides 118-degree field of view, while the 5MP macro sensor enables close-up shots.

The M2 comes packed with a 5,000mAh built-in battery, powered with support for 18W fast charging (10W charger in box). The device is available in 6/64GB and 6/128GB storage variants for INR 10,999 and INR 12,499 respectively. The M2 is available for purchase in Slate Blue, Pitch Black and Brick Red colour variants on Flipkart.
