“As a Doctor, I have seen so much pain and suffering of my patients that I wanted to keep my sensitivity alive through some form or the other. I chose photography. To me, it is a creative expression of my artistic bent-of-mind – a form of expressing myself and cherishing my memories. My biggest inspiration is to use my work to promote the cause of collecting funds for the underprivileged.
My interest in photography was first sparked by my travels around the world. I sought advice from Atul Kasbekar on advanced camera use and techniques. Currently I use my Canon Mark III for all my photography.
With encouragement from family, friends and well-wishers, shortly after I started clicking, I decided to go public with my first exhibition, which was hosted by Citibank and themed around the Himalayas. Subsequently, I have held an exhibition every year, showcasing the natural beauty of different locales, including Nepal, Switzerland, Italy, Hawaii, etc. This year marks the 9th year of my exhibition, that features photographs from the Greek islands of Mykonos and Santorini.”
