March 1, 2012 by spwordpress

The annual Camera and Photo Imaging show (CP+ 2012) held in Yokohama,  Japan saw a cross section of the local Japanese in attendance.

Even though it attracted huge crowds, international visitors were relatively few.

The show was organised by the Camera and Imaging Products Association, Japan, in a tie up with Yokohama city. However, CP+ managed to attract over 65000 visitors. In fact, 62 new products were premiered at the Yokohama expo.

CP+ is an attempt by the Japanese imaging industry to showcase its capabilities. Although several camera shows have been held in Japan since 1960, CP+ is the first show to be organized by CIPA and was first held in 2010. Importantly, a number of imaging companies did not have English language versions of their product brochures.

On the other hand, Canon announced the launch of six new models, including the LEGRIA camcorder HFR series, bundled with wi-fi connectivity. media sites such as Facebook or You Tube. The new models includes the IXUS 510HS, 240 HS, and in the LEGRIA camcorder series HFR 38, R 36, M52 and M56.
