Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd unveiled new products and services at its Southwest Asia Forum 2013 in Hyderabad on March 1st, 2013.
The newly showcased products include the Smart Camera NX300, along with new lenses.
In 2012, Samsung Electronics achieved record sales of approximately $200 billion. In Southwest Asia, the Company tripled its growth rate over the past three years and achieved more than 35% sales growth in 2012. “Relentless innovation and discovery are the key principles of our business and these are driving our goal to enable consumers to discover a world of possibilities with technology,” said BD Park, President and CEO of Samsung South West Asia. “We work in a dynamic region and consumers today are looking for technology that will not complicate their lifestyles but enrich and empower them. That is our goal and we will strive to provide innovative technology beyond consumer expectations towards a new era of possibilities.”
The new Samsung NX300 with a 20.3 Megapixel APS-C CMOS sensor is complemented by the Samsung’s NX 45mm F1.8 2D/3D lens, the first one-lens 3D system for a consumer camera, capable of capturing both still pictures and full 1080p HD video. A newly designed Hybrid Auto Focus (AF) system delivers fast, accurate phase and contrast detection, while the 1/6000 second shutter speed and 8.6fps continuous shooting mode ensures every moment is captured perfectly. Also, Samsung’s unique DRIMe IV imaging engine not only provides outstanding developments in speed and quality photography, but also enables better colour reproduction and greater noise reduction. The NX300 features an 84mm (3.31 inch) AMOLED screen has a tilt display, touch screen capabilities and 5-way manual key interface.
Samsung also announced the launch of a new line of connected compact cameras: the WB250F/WB200F, the WB800F, WB30F, DV150F and ST150F. The new devices combine high optical performance and classic style with the enhanced connectivity of Smart Camera. In the tablet section, the Company showcased GALAXY Note 510, the newest addition to its GALAXY Note family. The new IT products include Series 7 Chronos and the portable Series 7 Ultra Notebook, and Series 7 Touch (SC770) notebook with a multi-touch display optimised for Windows 8.
