Although having landed his dream job as a fashion designer, Kumar Raja did not achieve the expected job satisfaction from it.
His infatuation with photography propelled him to focus on pursuing it as a career path. “I wanted to excel in photography as a whole, therefore I enrolled with Light and Life Academy, Ooty for their Post Graduation course and opted to specialize in Product, Architectural and IIndustrial Photography.” conveys Kumar.
While Product and Architectural photography is his professional pursuit, Kumar is equally ardent about the genres of Food, Fashion and Landscape. “Nature, according to me, is highly inspirational, and has a beauty that nothing else possesses. I try to incorporate this beauty in my product shots. During my course, I worked closely with various techniques of light, which is the basic element in photography.” He adds “My current equipment is a Nikon D300, with f/2.8 lenses including a 14-24mm, 50mm, 70-200mm and 105mm macro.”
This incipient photographer from Vishakapatnam, sees immense potential in this chosen specialty and aims to emerge as a successful commercial photographer.
