Pictures not sharp enough?

I am an aspiring wildlife photographer. My equipment is modestly priced. Since I use slow lenses, I am unable to use faster shutter speeds. This results in pictures that do not look as sharp as those shot by professional photographers. If I increase the ISO, the pictures turn noisy. Any solution? I am using a Canon EOS 550D.
